For context:
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
I took it through the car wash today, which kind of got rid of the green crap hiding in the tight areas, so that will need more attention. But overall it looks much cleaner.
I think I’ve found all the cosmetic issues. It has three small door dings, a light scuff on the rear bumper corner, and two scuffs under the front bumper from pulling too far into a parking spot I’m guessing. Oh and some curbage. Point is, I’m no longer paranoid about being the first person to ding it or anything.
Also dat undercarriage. I apologize for these pictures, I didn’t edit them or anything. Just straight from a lazy setting on the camera.
Also the view was quite nice, today has been the first real nice day in a while.
So yeah. I need to learn more about this thing, I still know basically nothing about Subarus. The transmission feels vaguely concerning to me, but I’ve never driven a Subaru before so I can’t tell. What I do know, is that I have the 2.5 non-turbo.
More to come as I get used to it, I’m loving it so far.

It wasn’t actually a purchase, but thanks!

Yeah, but I wouldn’t want the scoop unless I had a turbo and intercooler

I see, very nice bit of luck. You should turbo it and take grandpa out and do some pulls, see what he thinks of it with power haha.

Look up “Snorkus delete” on a local Subaru forum or just google it. I had a 2006 Impreza 2.5i and did it and it changes the intake sound. Plus it saves having some unnecessary plastic inside your front right fender. Plus it gives you a reason to get your wrenches out. Plus its free!
My gf and I are thinking of going from 2 cars to 1 soon which will mean an auto for a bit and one of these is top of my list. I love it.

Awesome, I shall look that up! This is probably the best car of this size that I’ve driven, it feels very light on its feet for 3,500lbs or so, and the gas mileage is fantastic compared to my Blazer, which is unsurprising. Everything seems well thought out, the quality is far better than the 2015 Toyota I drive for work, it’s just overall a lovely car.

Wow, barely broken in. I also thought it was funny that I drive a 2015 Yaris for work, and it already has 37k on it

That is some higher than average mileage you got there. Also the Yaris I drive is the lowest mileage car at work. The highest we have is a 2008 Yaris with 400k.....that thing needs to be put out of its misery

Arguably the prettiest neighborhood in greater Vancouver! Reminds me of those houses along the Hollywood Hills. Then there’s the view from that little park that’s like 30sec from the driver’s side of the Legacy in that pic...
The refinery is such a huge shame, though. Fuck.
